Volunteers List

Volunteers are the backbone of our program. Volunteers help by making connections for guests between the shelter and the community, by positive role modeling, and by assisting staff.

Volunteers are needed for these projects:

• New locks installed at Transitional Living Center and Site 1
• Bathroom floor and ceiling repair at Site 1
• Staff relief
• Organizing donations
• Locks at Site 1 office and House Manager's apartment. These locks are mechanical numeric locks. They require drilling one additional hole for each lock.

We need your continued help and involvement in this important ministry. We hope you will recommend HHCS as a great place to volunteer and a place that each person can make a difference. If you would like volunteer information or have questions, please contact Kelly Isaacson at 715-394-9608.

• Diapers (size 4, 5 & 6)
• Disposable training pants

• Plastic mattress protectors

• Toilet paper/paper towels
• Vacuum cleaner bags, Type A
• Disinfectant/Bleach/Household cleaners
• Compact fluorescent light bulbs, 75 watt
• Cooking oil/cooking spray
• Aluminum foil/plastic wrap
• Dishwasher detergent
• New or gently-used blankets
• Nonperishable food items
• Garbage bags (13 gallon)
• Plastic disposal gloves (for cleaning & first aid)

The following items are things that the Transitional Living Center needs on a regular basis.

• Paper products (toilet paper, etc.)
• Office supplies
• Financial donations to subsidize affordable housing and case work staff.

Corporate Sponsorship Program

Would your company or corporation like to help Harbor House Crisis Shelters? In exchange for your contribution, Harbor House Crisis Shelters (HHCS) will:

• List the corporation on the HHCS website;
• List the corporation in the HHCS newsletter (over 400 recipients);
• List the corporation in a newspaper press release;
• Acknowledge sponsorship in public speeches;
• Acknowledge sponsorship during celebration/dedication of programs.

Put Your 5 Cents Worth

Harbor House Crisis Shelters' fundraising project—recycling 20-ounce plastic bottles. Each bottle recycled will create five cents for HHCS. To sign up, go online to www.terracycle.net/bb/. You will be asked some questions, click on HHCS for your organization to receive funds, and boxes will be shipped to your church for collection.
