Ribbon Cutting Event and Celebration
for the New Transitional Living Apartment Building

A Ribbon Cutting Event and Celebration is planned for August 15, 2008 at 10 am
located at 1603 North 21st Street, Superior, Wisconsin. A reception will follow
at Faith United Methodist Church, 1531 Hughitt Avenue, Superior.
All donors and community members are invited to attend.

WE DID IT!
$165,000 Matching Grant Awarded to Harbor House Crisis Shelters
The DeAtley Family Foundation has granted Harbor House Crisis Shelters, a ministry of
Faith United Methodist Church, a matching grant of $165,000. The funds have been used
to purchase an apartment building for transitional living. The center is for homeless
women and families to move from homelessness to permanent housing.
A Ribbon Cutting Event and Celebration is planned for August 15, 2008 at 10 am
located at 1603 North 21st Street, Superior, Wisconsin. A reception will follow
at Faith United Methodist Church, 1531 Hughitt Avenue, Superior.
All donors and community members are invited to attend.
HHCS has received some significant financial donations throughout the campaign from:
The General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church; United Way of
Superior-Douglas County; St. Mary's Duluth Clinic Foundation; Sam's Club; and Anderson
Lubricants, Inc.; WHEDA; The Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation; Precious Blood
Fathers; The Superior Rotary Club; and many community members.
Rev. Barb Certa-Werner, Executive Director, said, "All the planning, working and
striving for a goal has come together for a triumphant for our community. We have
gained the ability to provide more services to those in greatest need, homeless
families. What a great beginning for this project!"
