• Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois
• An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church
• Worked at various homeless shelters in Chicago, Illinois, and Green Bay, Wisconsin for a total of 18 years experience
• Chair of the Twin Ports United Methodist Ministries
